Texas Online Preparatory School
Texas Online Preparatory School, a program of Huntsville Independent School District, is accredited by the Texas Education Agency and AdvancED. It provides advanced learners in grades 3–12 with a rigorous education tailored to their needs. To attend, students must meet a minimum passing standard on the previous year's STAAR scores, have had 90% attendance during the prior school year, show proof of prior Texas public school enrollment, and (for high school students) be on track to graduate. The school offers a robust Advanced Learner Program for younger grades. High school students can take AP® courses, get ahead with dual enrollment options in college courses, and graduate with endorsement plans such as STEM and arts and humanities. Students can participate in National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society activities. Student clubs, outings, and field trips help students connect.
Texas Virtual Academy
Texas Virtual Academy provides middle and high school students a personalized education tailored to their needs and helps them work toward earning a high school diploma. The curriculum includes subjects such as art, music, world languages, and many electives. As a Responsive Education Solutions (ResponsiveEd®) charter school there are weekly in-person expectations for students who are not performing on grade-level or did not pass a prior-year state assessment. In-person assessments and instructional sessions occur on Saturdays at most Responsive Education Solution campuses across the state.
